The Meet Me @ Miller Street project, with the theme 'Endless Possibilities', sees a connection and activation of our CBD through rationalising unused space behind the main street shops, creating a Shared Zone in this area, filling blank canvas laneways and spilling greenery and creativity out onto our main street. Traffic calming measures such as speedbumps and reduced speed zone have also been installed along with the creation of some new community spaces for enjoyment.

The purpose of the Meet Me @ Miller Street project is to test the activation of the space as a temporary Shared Zone (Category 2), while also lighting up and creating vibrancy in the laneways that connect through from there to the Miller Street businesses.

The project saw the creation of a flying pig, which is an expression of the resilience and strength of our community. It represents the endless possibilities available and the promise for future positive opportunities when we allow ourselves to think BIG!

We engaged regional artists Brian Campbell and Alison Dent to help bring the laneways to life, and they've certainly delivered a wonderful talking point for Gilgandra!
