Gilgandra Community Garden

The Gilgandra Community Garden is situated at the rear of the Coo-ee Heritage & Visitor Information Centre and overlooks the Castlereagh River.

The Gilgandra Community Garden was established in 2023 following the pandemic to reduce social isolation and provide an inclusive and tranquil setting that supports access to local fresh produce (vegetables and herbs), healthy eating, positive mental health and wellbeing, and supports active and passive recreational activities of gardening, weeding, planting, adding organic materials and compost.

Activity is self-directed to your own capabilities; although there is always the chance to learn in working bees from experienced gardeners.

Visit the Gilgandra Community Garden Facebook page for more information!
