Aero Park Residential Subdivision

Council has approved a development application for its 'Aero Park Residential Estate' subdivision that comprises 57 residential lots. Stage one has commenced on the subdivision, which includes the construction of 34 residential lots.

The contract for the construction of stage one civil works has been awarded to Sydney based, civil construction company J Group Corporation

The goal of the new subdivision is to:

  • provide a mixture of housing lots to maximise future potential use and market appeal
  • increase housing stock in Gilgandra
  • facilitate an increased number of Inland Rail professional staff who will reside in Gilgandra

and is one of the key actions listed in the Gilgandra Housing Strategy.

The subdivision site is located on the northwestern edge of the township of Gilgandra approximately 2.5 km from the CDB.

The site is principally boarded by the existing Gilgandra airstrip, Farrar and Federation Streets. The majority of site comprises of maintained grassland with some scattered mature trees and planted vegetation.

Five residential lots that front Farrar Street as part of the Aero Park Residential Estate have been fully developed to date. Stage one includes the construction of roads, footpaths, rolled kerb, stormwater drainage, water and sewerage reticulation systems, NBN, underground power, supply and installation of solar street lights, and street trees to facilitate 34 residential lots in a modern subdivision.
