The contractor is currently fabricating the bridge beams at their depot in Newcastle. Unfortunately there have been some delays in the process due to the wet weather.
The bridge beams are scheduled to be placed early August, with the deck to be poured mid August.
Wet weather has caused some delays to earlier project stages. Full closure of the bridge and approaches on Breelong-Balladoran Rd is required until Tuesday, 31 August 2021, weather permitting.
Unfortunately there is no room on site for a side track:
- Alternative access to the Castlereagh Highway is via Denmire Rd.
- Alternative access to Gilgandra is via Hilliers Road.
