Gilgandra Region website launch

Published on 24 May 2021

For the local or the traveller alike, there is so much to see and discover in our own backyard. Visitors and locals can now plan how to spend time in our region and learn all things Gilgandra Region, by visiting gilgandraregion.com.au!

The tourism website is now live and features travel itineraries, information of where you can eat, sleep and shop in Gilgandra Region, as well as all the information you need to visit our local attractions.

Council’s Marketing and Communications Manager Kathryn Larkin says,

“We are welcoming more people to Gilgandra as we see the benefits of the regional travel boom and we love to see visitors dining at our local food outlets, refuelling more than just their car, shopping like a local and exploring our attractions”.

Adding,

“The website allows people from all over to view the attractions and offerings we have as well as plan their trip through the itineraries and accommodation listings provided. The itineraries are even aimed at locals who may have not fully discovered their own backyard yet!”

Volunteers in the Visitor Information Centre are also looking forward to be able to share the information from the website.

Volunteer at the Visitor Information Centre and member of the Economic Development Committee, Kathy Reynolds says,

“We’ve always known that once you arrive at Gilgandra you are welcomed by friendly faces and a cultural history, that our town is so proud of. By sharing this information online, we might capture more of those travellers that are searching online before they jump in their cars or caravans and encouraging them to spend a night or two here. Once they’re here they are often surprised by what they find we have on offer and are drawn back here.”

Make sure your next adventure is jam packed with our region’s vibrant communities, proud history, culture and the amazing natural environment.
