Gilgandra Shire Signage Project
Council recently sought feedback on new signage for our Shire. With 21 existing signs to be upgraded across highways, and new major town entry signs to be constructed and installed, all community members were invited to complete the survey.
The survey period was from 16 April - 18 May, with 221 respondents and 88 comments, so thank you for your feedback! Access a full copy of the results and comments here(PDF, 2MB)
Theme - Mix of Colour and Country scored 42% of the votes.
Colour Palette - Earthy Tones scored 50% of the votes.
Signage Elements - top 5 were Windmills, Cooee representation, Castlereagh River, Nod to Aboriginal and Wheat/Crop.
Key message - 'Welcome to'.... most popular overall
